Hi everyone! so this is not a new recipe, but i realized this is a good piece and I haven't wrote the recipe here.:)

It's a burger patty, mixture of veal and pork, accompanied with some stir-fried veggies (one meal should have meat and veggies, right? :))

Ingredients :
Burger Patty
500 gr 1:1 minced pork and veal
5-6 tbsp full of flour (any kind of flour or breadcrumbs)
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
6-8 tbsp salty soy sauce
around 5 gr of chopped parsley
some pinch of dried dill (or chopped fresh one)
salt and pepper to taste
oil to fry

Veggies
1 onion, sliced
8-10 leaves of pak coy, sliced
oil to fry
salt and pepper to taste

garnish:
worcestershire sauce or mayonnaise
parsley

How to :

Patties
1. mix all the meat ingredients in a big bowl, stir well (with your hands or spatula) (taste it a little bit to adjust the flavour you wanted.)
2. cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and leave it in a fridge for at least 1-2 hour.
3. While waiting, prepare the veggies (it won't take long though)
4. Remove the bowl with meat mixture from the fridge, divide it into 4 equal pieces, shaped them into a burger patty. (or another shape if you wanted to)
5. In a medium heat, heat up frying pan and spread oil evenly on it.
6. put the patties on the frying pan, cook on low/medium heat. Cover with lid.
7. cook until the patty is kind of brown, and flip to pan-fry the other side.
8. after both side is browned, put the cooked patties on a tray and put it in the oven at low heat around 120-150 degree (celcius) time varies, depends on the type of oven you have, but just check regularly, until the patties changed colour like on the photo (golden brown).

Veggies
1. Prepare heated pan, then put oil on it.
2. Put onions, until fragrant, then put the veggies, until all the veggies cooked, then seasoned with salt and pepper.

Put the patty on a plate, with the veggies, then garnish the patty with worcestershire sauce or mayonnaise and put the fresh parsley on the top of it.

Riri's Spicy Stir-fried Mincemeat

long time no see!
So here it is, my original recipe. It's modified from mom's Sambal Kentang.

Ingredients :

500 gr minced beef (you can use pork and lamb too)
2 small potatoes (I like to used the firm and waxy variety of potatoes for this)
3 red bird's eye chillies
1 big chilli (i used the orange-coloured)
1.5 Big onion (or 1 big onion & 1 small onion)
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1/2 cup chinese light soy sauce (i used the brand pearl river bridge)
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
water

how to :

1. Slice the mushroom horizontally. Cut the potatoes into 4 log, then slice thinly (approx. 5 mm). chop half onion and garlic. Slice 1 onion. Slice the big chilli. Chop the bird's eye chilli.
2. Heat a pot on the stove. Then put oil
3. Immediately put garlic, chopped onion, and all the chillies. Stir.
4. When it becomes a little bit coloured, put potatoes in, stir well. Put minced beef, stir well.
5. When the beef is half-cooked, put the soy sauces. Stir well.
6. When the beef's cooked, put sliced onion, stir well, then put sliced mushroom. Stir well.
7. Sprinkle some salt. Then stir occasionally until the sliced onion and sliced mushroom seems half-cooked.
8. put arund 3-5 tbsp water, stir well, then cover the pot with lid in low heat.
9. Depends on the heat on your stove, uncover the lid after few minutes.
10. Stir well, and try your food and make it the right taste for you. (if it's too salty, put more water. If it's too plain, add more salt and soy sauces)

Note.
-Putting the onion and garlic before the oil heated up will make the onion and garlic gives more flavour to the meal.
- I'm using pot instead of pan, because pot will keep the meal moist and it will produce more sauce. If you like it to be drier, use frying pan instead and don't add water.

2. chop the stem finely
3. in a mixing bowl, mix minced meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, sliced chillies and chopped mushroom's stem. put some taste with salt, pepper, and soy sauce.

Steamed Egg

I don't know if this dish originally comes from china or japan, in Japan, steamed egg called Chawan Mushi and I think they add tofu or something and it produces a very soft texture.

I ate this for lunch and I just develop my mom's original recipe into this.

Ingredients:
2 large eggs
1 big chicken leg (around 150gr)
2 medium champignon mushrooms
1 asparagus
Some bokchoy
Actually just add everything you like (as long as it don't over-fill the bowl)

how to :
1. Chop everything up except the eggs (make sure they have mutual sizes)
2. Prepare a medium size bowl (mine is around 20cm in diameter and 8cm in depth)
3. put the egg in and stir it up.
4. Add everything you had chopped before.
5. Give some flavour, add salt, pepper, MSG,soy sauce, and some sugar would be perfect.
6. Add water into the bowl and just left like 2cm from the top side of the bowl. (It prevent you from spilling it and prevent your thumb going inside it when you serve it)
7. And then just simply steam it for like 15 minutes (or until it kinda harden). If you dont have steamer, you can do double-boiling method instead, but cover the bowl. But you also can just put it in the microwave for about 10-13 minutes.

PS : the original recipe only use ground pork, and it uses more eggs (it has harder texture).

Chocolate Cookies

I made this recipe by combining some gingerbread recipes, and change most of the ingredients and turn this into a chocolate cookies recipe :) My boyfriend (and his mom) loves it. *blushing*
Also my lil brother, even he tried to steal a whole jar for himself. @_@

Ingredients :

4 egg yolks
2-3 egg whites
around 200 gr of sugar
300 gr butter
550 gr flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 sachets of your fav instant hot choco powder / instant choco milk powder
cocoa powder (use as much as you like until it tastes as you want it)

How to :
1.Mix the butter and the sugar until it soften and kinda puffy. Then add the eggs gradually.
2. Sift the cocoa powder & instant hot choco / choco milk powder, baking soda and the flour.
3. Add the flour into the batter gradually. Mix it evenly.
4. Wrap everything up with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
5. Leave on room temperature for about 15 min, then cut it up with cookie cutter.
6. Heat the oven, and bake it at 180 celcius degree for about 15 minutes depends on how thick is your cookie dough.

Note :
- If you don't have cookie cutter, you could make one from a paper. Draw the design on a paper (star / man / heart-shaped), then cut it up with a scissors. then you just put it on the cookie dough ( that have been flattened before) then cut with a knife according to the paper.

Beef Lasagna

Today's recipe is Beef Lasagna, requested by Casey :)
Lasagna is some kind of pasta that comes in form of sheets. You may buy it in most supermarket that sells imported goods.
This dish is not hard, but you must be careful.
My boyfriend and my little brother love this :)

Ingredients :

250 gr lasagna
salt, pepper, and sugar

for meat sauce:
500 gr minced beef
1 onion
2 cups of chicken/beef stock
lots of tomato sauce :p
oil

(you may add another ingredients you like such as carrot, real tomatoes)

for cheese sauce:
around 300 gr grated cheddar cheese (kraft cheese)
2 slices of bega cheese (or another cheese that may melt)
around 500 ml milk
2 small packs of butter
(you may add another ingredients such as cream cheese, dairy cream)

How to make the meat sauce:
1. Dice the onion evenly (and carrot or tomatoes if you want to add it)
2. In a wok (or big frying pan) heat some oil, and put the onion (wait for a moment and then the carrot) until it smells nice and looks withered.
3. Put the minced beef, and stir until it changes colour.
4. Put the chicken/beef stock, tomato sauce, salt and pepper, little bit sugar (and tomatoes), then stir. Add tomato sauce until it looks red enough.
5. Taste it, if it's too sour/too tasty, add more water. If it's just not right but you don't know what is it, add some more salt and sugar.

How to make the cheese sauce:
1. Melt the butter
2. Put the milk (and/or dairy cream) stir until thick
3. Put the bega chesse and grated cheese (and cream cheese), stir evenly
4. Put salt and pepper.
5. Taste it and fix it.

How to put everything together :
1. On a cake pan, or thermostable bowl. Put the meat sauce, then the cheese sauce, then the lasagna. Do this until it form layers of meat-cheese-lasagna-meat-cheese-lasagna-..... The top layer must be cheese.
2. Heat the oven on 180 celcius
3. Bake the lasagna for about 10-20 minutes.

Note : Make sure you put a lot of meat sauce on the top of lasagna layer. The moisture is really important to make the lasagna cooked softly.
